The Eldor Niobium Project is a significant high-grade niobium discovery located adjacent to Mont Royal’s flagship Ashram Rare Earth and Fluorspar Deposit. Niobium is a critical mineral with growing demand and stable pricing which represents a potentially significant future development opportunity for Mont Royal.
History/Geology
The Eldor Niobium Project forms part of a world-class carbonatite deposit, a geological formation where niobium mineralisation has been identified in significant quantities. The Eldor Property has been explored since the early 1980s, with significant niobium mineralisation identified by previous explorers such as Unocal Canada, Virginia Mines and Saville Resources.

Recent Exploration
- Drilling in 2024 at the Mallard Prospect returned multiple significant high-grade niobium intercepts, with results of up to 24m at 0.91% Nb2O5 within a wider interval of 45.5m at 0.65% Nb2O5
- This drilling significantly expanded the niobium mineralised footprint and discovered two new high-grade zones – the Northwest and Moira prospects – both of which remain open in multiple directions
- Multiple drill holes demonstrate the significant scale and relative continuity potential of niobium mineralisation over a widespread area adjacent to the south-east of the Ashram Deposit
