Our community and stakeholder engagement is guided by four key principles:

Listen
We seek to understand the priorities, perspectives and concerns of communities and organisations connected to the region.

Engage early
We aim to engage before important project decisions are made, creating opportunities for community knowledge and perspectives to inform our planning.

Communicate openly
We are committed to sharing clear and timely information about Ashram, including the Project’s progress, upcoming activities and potential impacts and opportunities.

Build relationships for the long term
Ashram is a long-life project. We want the relationships surrounding it to be long-term as well – built on mutual respect, transparency and constructive dialogue.
Working Together
Building Ashram through dialogue, respect and collaboration
Mont Royal is committed to developing the Ashram Project in a responsible and collaborative way, working closely with Indigenous communities, local organisations, governments and other stakeholders throughout the life of the Project.
Located in Nunavik, northern Québec, approximately 130km south of Kuujjuaq, Ashram is being advanced in a region with deep cultural connections to the land and a long history of traditional use.
We recognise that developing Ashram is about more than the technical and economic potential of the deposit. It is about listening, building long-term relationships and ensuring that local knowledge, perspectives and priorities are considered as the Project evolves.
Our approach is based on open, regular and accessible communication – sharing information about our plans and activities, listening to feedback and maintaining constructive dialogue as Ashram progresses through studies, assessment and, ultimately, potential development.
We believe meaningful engagement starts early and continues throughout the development of a project.
